Welcome to the home of 4./JG 53 'Pik As'. We are a virtual Luftwaffe squadron flying in 1C:Maddox Games Forgotten Battles. During World War 2 the real '4./JG 53' operated on the Western Europe, in the Mediterranean, and in the opening phases of Unternehmen Barbarossa. '4./JG 53' flew various models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 throughout the 2nd World War. As with the real '4./JG 53' our 'virtual 4./JG 53' is specifically a Bf 109 squadron. We fly all versions of the Bf 109 and in all theaters. We recently added a bomber schwarm - 4./KG 53 'Condor'. 4./KG 53 'Condor' is dedicated to flying Luftwaffe bombers and ground attack aircraft. We fly in the online war Forgotten Skies and join the game online through the Forgotten Skies dedicated room on Hyperlobby. We are actively looking for new members to both to fill our roster and to fly with. What we are looking for is players who enjoy flying together as a team. Skill or experience aren't that important, with time in game and in plane any one can improve. However, we are a member of FISC - Full Immersion Squadron Community. Being familiar with full switch navigation, reading instruments, and map reading will be a plus. 4./JG 53 'Pik As' seeks Bf 109 pilots!4./KG 53 'Condor' seeks Luftwaffe bomber pilots!
We mainly fly in online campaigns like Forgotten Skies. We are US / NA based and each member will need a reasonable understanding of English. We know that Il2 / FB has an international appeal but my German, French, Italian, Finnish, Spanish etc... won't be improving any time in the near future. Also, all members must have a microphone and be able to use Teamspeak. All members must also be able to join us online through Hyperlobby. We require that each interested pilot have a working understanding of Forgotten Battle's Complex Engine Management (CEM) as well as a working understanding of Full Switch Navigation. We will train pilots on various tactics, formation flying, and gunnery. If you are interested please register on the web site and then read through our Enlistment Requirements. |
